Vintage Shenango China Inca Ware 9.5" Divided Grill Plates – Set of 4
Beautiful matching set of 4 vintage Shenango China Inca Ware three-compartment grill/dinner plates, made in New Castle, Pennsylvania, USA.
These substantial commercial-quality plates feature a warm cream/ivory glaze with a simple rust-brown band around the rim. Each plate is divided into three sections, with one large compartment and two smaller compartments.
The underside of each plate carries the colorful Inca Ware / Shenango China / New Castle, Pa. / U.S.A. backstamp.
Shenango China was well known for producing durable restaurant, hotel and institutional dinnerware. Based on the Inca Ware line and this style of backstamp, these plates date approximately to the late 1930s–1940s.
